Fight Camp Waiver

PARTICIPANT WAIVER & CONSENT

By registering for and participating in the GRAPPLIX Summer Fight Camp, I confirm that I have read, understood and agree to the following:

I understand that participation in martial arts, grappling, physical training and related camp activities carries inherent risks, including the risk of accident, injury or illness. I voluntarily choose to participate and accept the normal and inherent risks associated with these activities.

I confirm that I, or the participant for whom I am responsible, am/is medically fit to participate. I agree to inform GRAPPLIX staff or coaches of any medical condition, injury, illness, allergy or other relevant circumstance that may affect safe participation.

I agree to follow the reasonable instructions of GRAPPLIX coaches, officials and event staff and to behave responsibly and respectfully towards other participants, coaches, staff and venue personnel.

I understand that GRAPPLIX may stop or refuse participation where a participant’s health, fitness, behaviour or circumstances may present a risk to themselves or others.

In the event of an accident, injury or medical emergency, I authorise GRAPPLIX staff and/or appropriate medical professionals to provide or arrange first aid and emergency medical assistance where necessary. I understand that I am responsible for my own medical and treatment costs and should have appropriate travel and medical insurance for the duration of the camp.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I accept responsibility for the inherent risks associated with voluntary participation in the GRAPPLIX Summer Fight Camp and release GRAPPLIX, its organisers, coaches, officials, staff, volunteers and event partners from claims arising from those inherent risks.

Nothing in this waiver is intended to exclude or restrict any liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

I understand that photography and video recording may take place during the camp and consent to GRAPPLIX using images or footage in which I, or the participant for whom I am responsible, appear for GRAPPLIX marketing, promotional, social media, website and event-related purposes.

I understand that I am responsible for personal belongings and equipment brought to the camp.

UNDER 18 PARTICIPANTS

For participants under 18, I confirm that I am the participant’s parent or legal guardian and give permission for them to participate in the GRAPPLIX Summer Fight Camp.

I confirm that I have read and understood this waiver, understand the nature of the activities and their inherent risks, and consent to the participant taking part.
